Abey moves to Rosewood in 2006 along with her parents and sister Rachel. Soon after, Abbey is hit by a car, suffering a broken wrist, cuts and bruises, but she recovers with no long-term impairment. When John's affair with Stacey is revealed, John and Charlotte separate. This has a negative effect on Abbey as she is torn between her two parents. She lives sporadically with each parent, frequently defending her father to her mother and sister, until they reunited in 2012.
